Former IAOHRA President Leon Russell and IAOHRA 1st Vice President Robin Toma were in Geneva attending the Review of  the United States Report on Compliance with treaty obligations under the International Covenant to Eradicate All Forms of Racism. Mr. Russell and Mr. Toma also attended as NGO (Non-Governmental Organizations) representing Civil Society in response to the United States Report.  Both spoke during various sessions of the meeting.  Robin Toma represented the US Human Rights Network and Mr. Russell represented the NAACP. Mr. Toma addressed the need for a formal governmental structure which would be responsible for enforcing the treaty obligations in the United States and Mr. Russell spoke on Voting Rights.
