Homer C. FloydIAOHRA expresses it sincere thanks to Mr. Homer C. Floyd, former executive director of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. We thank him for his passionate commitment to protecting the rights of all Penssylvanians, promoting equal opportunity and making the Pennsylvania Commonwealth and our nation more just, fair and equitable.
Homer C. Floyd former executive director of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission held the position since 1970. Before coming to Harrisburg, he held positions in Jkansas, Nebraska and Washington, D.C. and has amassed an impressive record accomplishments in civil rights. His numerous awards include being named a 'Champion of Equal Opportunity" by the EEOC; TALK magazine's 2009 Person of the Year; and receiving Lifetime Achevement awards from the PA Chapter of the NAACP, the International Association of Official Human Rights Agencies, the Harrisburg Chapter of The Links, Inc. International Service Organization, the esteemed Legacy Award from the Urban Connection and a number of regional civic and civil rights organizations.
